Scott Poisson

FOUNDER/ATTORNEY

Scott L. Poisson is the founder of High Stakes Injury Law. Since 1993, he has been fighting exclusively for injured people against insurance companies and big businesses.

Scott is a conscientious attorney with a strong work ethic and has spent over 29 years protecting the injured.

He believes in fighting tirelessly, but fairly, and within the confines of the law. He consistently achieves outstanding results for his clients due to his willingness to outwork and ability to outthink opposing counsel.

Like many people, Scott did not come from a family of doctors or lawyers. He used student loans to pay his way through law school and learned about the value of hard work from his parents.

Scott understands when seriously injured victims feel helpless and angry or have concerns about how to pay their medical bills. From his very first meeting for each case, clients can sense his sincere empathy. Scott continues to support each client throughout the legal process and often after a case resolves.

Developing A Strategic Advantage For His Clients

Scott’s extensive experience in personal injury law gives him a distinct edge, both inside and outside the civil courtroom. He knows what it takes to prepare a solid case and how to utilize the firm’s many resources to make it stronger. Scott also realizes that every case is different and that real people are involved.

SCOTT EXAMINES THE END GOAL OF EACH CASE AND DEVELOPS A STRATEGIC PLAN TO CREATE THE BEST OPPORTUNITY TO ACHIEVE THAT RESULT. SCOTT KNOWS HE IMPROVES HIS CLIENTS’ LIVES WHEN HE SUCCEEDS, AND THIS KNOWLEDGE FUELS HIS PASSION FOR WINNING.

Background &
Education

SCOTT HAS HELPED TO RECOVER MORE THAN 100 MILLION IN COMPENSATION FOR HIS CLIENTS.
TODAY, HIS LEGAL PRACTICE CONTINUES TO FOCUS EXCLUSIVELY ON REPRESENTING THE INJURED.

Scott earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics at Davidson College (made famous by NBA star Steph Curry) in North Carolina in 1990. Scott was also a Division I soccer player and this experience taught him the importance of teamwork, discipline, accountability and dedication to a cause. He attributes his success as an attorney to these traits.

Scott went on to graduate with honors from the University of Miami School of Law in 1993. During a summer clerkship in his first year of law school, Scott worked on a case involving a dock worker who sustained brain damage in a serious fall. The experience working on the dock worker case solidified a strong desire in Scott to use the law to help other people.

When Scott has free time, he enjoys coaching soccer, exercising, cycling, skiing, watching sports and spending time with his wife, three children and two dogs.
